• Second site for IQ8
  • The site area is 10,000 m2, which makes it one of the biggest site in Vietnam

Idemitsu Q8 Petroleum LLC (IQ8), the first foreign-owned retail station company in Vietnam, has just opened its second service station in Vietnam.  The new service station named Dinh Vu port is located in Haiphong, the second largest city in Northern Vietnam and home to one of the largest ports in Southeast Asia.

Similar to IQ8’s first station in Thang Long Industrial Park, this station is equipped with full POS/card system—a system whose benefits include cashless fueling and enabling management of fuel used by customers’ vehicles, which will improve customer service experience.

Dinh Vu port service station will be open 24/24 and provide motorists with gasoline 95 and E5 Ron 92 (bio-gasoline) and of course diesel oil for trucks. The refueling area for big trucks is designed separately from cars/bikes area with more space between dispensers and with high speed pumps. The expected annual volume of Dinh Vu port station is about 19.2 million liter.

IQ8 was established in 2016 as 50:50 joint venture between Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan Group and Kuwait Petroleum International Ltd. Both companies are partners in Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC (http://nsrp.vn/) in the northern Thanh Hoa province, along with Vietnam’s national oil company, PetroVietnam and Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals.

IQ8 will build a sales channel by opening a network of service stations concentrated on northern Vietnam area as a first step.  Focus mainly on highways and the concentration of truck-based logistics activities.

The project will contribute to development in Vietnam, a market expected to see continued strong growth in demand for petroleum products, through providing the nation’s with a quality products, high customer service and environmentally friendly station.
